GLASGOW —
If tournaments were based all on statistics, Kentucky High School Athletic Association officials should give Kathy Jones and the Glasgow High School Lady Scotties the District 15 Soccer Tournament trophy right now and tell the other teams to stay home.
The Lady Scotties are going into next week’s district tourney with a 10-4-2 overall record and a perfect 6-0 slate in district play. In fact, Glasgow has been so dominant in district competition the Lady Scotties have won all six games in shutouts.
But Jones has been around the coaching block a couple of times and she’s been stressing to her team the past means nothing and a tournament win is not guaranteed.
