GLASGOW —
The Glasgow Lady Scotties were led by Breanna Glover, Shalika Smith, Emily Alexander and Kelsey Greer as they defeated the Lady Lakers of Russell County, 56-50, on Tuesday night
Glasgow came into the game with only two loses and an unblemished record in regional play. Russell County started the night also with two loses, both against Region 4 competition, but riding a nine-game winning streak.
The Lady Scotties big four average more than 52 points a game and on Tuesday night it was more of the same as they netted 54 of their team’s 56 to keep the team undefeated at home this season.
The game started almost perfectly for the Lady Scotties as they jumped to an 11-1 lead in the first three minutes of play. A pair of 3s by Greer sparked the early lead. The Lady Lakers battled back after Glasgow got into early foul trouble and the Lady Scotties led 16-9 at the end of the first quarter.
