GLASGOW — 31st Annual Turkey Trot

The 31st Annual Turkey Trot will be today.

The Gobbler Gait, an approximate 1/2 mile run for children 7 years and younger, starts at 2:15 p.m.

The One Mile Fun Run begins at 2:30 p.m.

The One Mile Walk begins at 2:35 p.m.

he Five Mile Run begins at 2:45 p.m.

Day-of-race registration is $15 per race except the gobbler gait which will remain $5. Registration continues until 1:45 p.m. the day of the race.

Winter cornhole league

The Glasgow Recreation Department’s Winter Cornhole League sign-ups begin Monday and run through Nov. 30. Cost for this league will be $20 per team. Late night sign-ups will be Nov. 23 and 30 from 4 to 5:30 p.m. League play will begin in early December. Each team needs to sign up two regular players and one alternate. There will be an “A” division and a “B” division to choose from. The fall league will end around the last of January.

Bitty basketball registration extended

The Glasgow Recreation Department has extended Bitty Basketball registration through Nov. 6.

Leagues are available for Mini Division for boys and girls ages 5-6 years and Junior Pro Division for boys and girls 7-8 years.

Cost to register is $20 per child with a $5 discount for any other child within the same household. A skills clinic will be held on Nov. 7 at the Liberty Street Wooden Gym for the Mini Division at 9 a.m .and the Junior Division at 10 a.m.

Lady Spikesters volleyball

Sign-ups for the girls Lady Spikesters Volleyball League continues through Nov. 20. This league is for girls 14-18 years of age, beginning and experienced players.

Play begins in December on Saturday mornings. Cost is $20 for the first child and $15 for each additional child from the same household



Senior exercise class

The Glasgow Recreation Department’s exercise and walk class at Liberty Street gym has re-opened for the fall.

Times for walking are 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. Monday through Friday.

The exercise class meets on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9:15 to 10 a.m.
