TOMPKINSVILLE — Monroe County’s Spencer Petett signed a national letter of intent to play baseball for Belmont University Wednesday.
Petett – who was recognized as a Kentucky East/West All Star at the University of Kentucky over the summer – will attend Belmont after his senior season at Monroe.
Belmont is a Division I baseball program located in Nashville that plays in the Atlantic Sun Conference.
Petett has been among the district and region offensive leaders for the last two seasons. His senior season will begin March 22 when the Falcons travel to Hart County.
Petett is the son Monroe coach Max Petett and Lori Petett of Tompkinsville.
