GLASGOW — Three Glasgow Middle School football players have been chosen to take part in the inaugural Kentucky Middle School Football Association (KYMSFA) East/West All State Football Classic.
Ben Furlong, Milas Norris and Marquez Trigg were three of 100 middle school athletes chosen to play in the game.
Practice for the games will begin Nov. 27, and will feature a combine, guest speakers and a banquet that will be held the following day.
The game itself will kick off Nov. 29 at 2 p.m. at Kentucky State University.
Furlong, Norris and Trigg will play for the West team, which will feature players from Bowling Green, Corbin, Edmonson County and other locations.
Rod and Gun Club offering child classes
Barren River Rod & Gun Club is offering classes for children 11-18 years of age who are interested in learning to shoot trap. Classes will be conducted at the club’s facility near Lucas. Parents must attend with the youth.
The club would also like to know how many ladies in the area would be interested in trap shooting or learning to shoot trap on a “ladies night only.”
The club has three certified AIM/ATA/NRA coaches for instruction and training.
