GLASGOW —
There is a method to the madness and the Monroe County Lady Falcons took the first step in their journey to the state championship Tuesday night when they beat a talented Allen County-Scottsville team 3-0 in the finals of the District 15 Volleyball Tournament at Barren County High School.
The Lady Falcons overcame multiple deficits in the second and third games to pull out the victory, winning 25-13, 25-22 and 25-19.
“I was so proud of the girls for staying in there and fighting back,” said Monroe County coach Tara Turner. “Sometimes when you get to tournament time your nerves get shaky and it is easy to lose focus. But we fought back from six or seven points down in each of the games and that is something to be proud of.”
