GLASGOW —
There might be a little more tension in the air than usual Friday night at Barren County High School’s Trojan Field. The Trojans, currently 1-6 on the season and 0-3 in Class 5A, District 2 will host Logan County, also sporting a 1-6 ledger and is 0-2 in district competition.
Barren County’s goal is to make the playoffs and a victory over Logan County would do a lot of things for the Trojans. First, it would get them back on a winning note, giving them a lot of confidence. Also, it would greatly improve their chances of making the playoffs.
“It is a very important game,” said Barren County coach Jason Esters. “For us, it’s been a while since we’ve won, so we really want to get the monkey off our backs. And a great way to do that would be to win Friday night.”
The game is slated to begin at 7 p.m.
