GLASGOW —
The Glasgow and Barren County High School cross country teams fared very well last weekend at the Kentucky High School Athletic Association State Championships at the Horse Park near Lexington.
Glasgow sent Marisa Moore and Ashlyn Brown to the meet for the Lady Scotties, while Zack Wheeler was the only Glasgow boy in the competition.
The Lady Trojans represented Barren County very well at the meet, finishing 22nd overall in the girls’ standings.
Ally Davis led Barren County on Saturday by finishing 54th overall in a time of 21:26.84. Taylor Montgomery was 93rd with a finish of 22:05.55 and Taylor Davis was 120th in the final standings with a time of 22:26.57.
Other Barren County runners included: Shayna Billingsley, Olivia Houchens, Geran Walters and Christina Scott. Billingsley was 172nd with a time of 23:29.62 and Houchens was just three spots back in 175th and she finished with a time of 23:34.50. Walters finished in 24:17.15 for 192nd place and Scott was 215th overall with a time of 27:31.44.
And Barren County’s lone runner in the boys’ division, Mason Dunbar, finished 53rd overall with a time of 17:27.74.
