GLASGOW —
This is the weekend for the 37th annual Barren Bassmaster Fall Classic which will be held out of Port Oliver on Saturday, October 13 from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Registration begins at 5:30 a.m.
Entry fee is $35. There will be a 5-fish limit with $2,500 in prizes to the winners including a $1,000 payday.
The Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources has issued its annual reminder to motorists to look out for deer on the state’s roads.
Deer movement peaks in late October through early December, during the rut, the whitetail’s annual mating season.
Motorists should be on the lookout for deer crossing roads, especially at dusk and dawn, when deer are feeding and bucks are beginning to follow or chase does.
