GLASGOW —
While making the playoffs is an honor for any high school football team, it also brings with it the urgency of a “win-or-go-home” atmosphere. And for some teams that can be overwhelming.
For John Petett and the Monroe County High School Falcons, that feeling is nothing new. The Falcons return to the playoffs this season for the eighth consecutive year, and Petett said the key to that long run has been his players’ ability to keep focused on what’s in front of them.
For the Falcons, this season, that’s the Heath Pirates.
