GLASGOW — The Lady Hornets held Campbells-ville to 29 percent shooting and led by as many as 43 Saturday afternoon, beating the Lady Eagles 78-35.
The win snaps a five-game losing streak for Metcalfe, who will attempt to begin a winning streak when the team faces Glasgow tomorrow night.
Monroe County little league night
Monroe County’s boys and girls’ little league teams will be honored during Tuesday night’s doubleheader versus Cumberland County. The boys squads will be recognized at halftime of the Lady Falcon game, while the girls will follow at halftime of the Falcons matchup.
Performance group Zooperstars will also perform on Tuesday to help raise funds for the Ethan Strode Memorial Scholarship. Strode, a former Monroe County football player, died Jan. 6 due to complications from a Dec. 7 car accident. A portion of every admission to Tuesday’s game will go toward the scholarship fund.
The Lady Falcons’ game will tip off at 6 p.m.
ZOOperstars! visit Monroe
ZOOperstars! will perform at Monroe County High School on Tuesday, Feb. 9, in the Monroe vs. Cumberland County doubleheader. The girls’ game begins at 6 p.m. with tipoff for the boys’ game at 7:30 p.m. Proceeds from the event go to the Ethan Strode Memorial Scholarship Fund.
