The Glasgow Scotties rolled over the Metcalfe County Hornets 55-13 Thursday night in the final game of the first round of the annual TJ Samson Community Hospital Holiday Basketball Classic. Scotties’ coach John Tinsley was happy with the win, but extremely pleased about getting the chance to play all of his players.
“We talked tonight about trying to get better in some areas of the game. In saying that, we weren’t great in the second half, I know. But kids know the score, the situation,” Coach Tinsley said. “We were able to play all 15 guys in the first half and that breaks momentum. Whenever you can get a lot of guys game experience; that can only make you better.”
Glasgow will battle Wayne County in the semifinals of the tournament Friday at 9 p.m. Metcalfe County will take on Franklin-Simpson at 5 p.m.
