GLASGOW —
The Caverna High School Lady Colonels had little trouble with a traveling team from Australia Thursday night in the first round of the Logan County Holiday Tournament in Russellville.
“Reagan Kingrey set the tone for us in the first half of play,” said Caverna coach Cornelius Faulkner. “Reagan, Ciara (Waggoner) and Kiara (Kirk) played very well. And our role players played better, too.”
Caverna led from the opening tip, taking an 18-4 advantage after one quarter and a 34-11 lead into the locker room.
Kingery led Caverna with 21 points. Madison Faulkner had 15 points and Waggoner had 11. Kirk chipped in with nine points, while Andrea Davis had six and Giuliana Petrucci scored three.
