GLASGOW —
As the Barren County Trojans prepare for this week’s TJ Samson Community Hospital Holiday Basketball Tournament, head coach Warren Cunningham is wondering which Trojans’ team will take the floor.
Will it be the Barren County team that won its first seven games of the season? Or, will it be the Barren County team that dropped a frustrating 96-64 decision at Warren Central last weekend? Cunningham hopes it’s the former.
“We’ve played well for the most part this season, but the Warren Central game last Saturday wasn’t what we’d hoped for,” Cunningham said. “It was hopefully a little bit of a wake-up call for our team. We definitely have some room for improvement. And if we use it as something that motivates us and something that helps us get better, then we can learn from it.”
The Trojans open the TJ Samson Community Hospital Holiday Basketball Tournament on Thursday, Dec. 20, against Logan County at Glasgow High School. Tipoff is set for 5 p.m.
