Crafts and decoration part of bazaar

GLASGOW — Edie Bell, a local botanical expert and floral designer, gave a demonstration of holiday crafts and decorations at Mary Wood Weldon Memorial Library on South Green Street on Thursday night. Bell works on a topiary of holly that she will embellish with berries. In the foreground, a Thanksgiving centerpiece of Foster holly and marigolds is ready for the holiday table. Bell will be exhibiting many of her crafts, along with numerous other members, at the Barren County Extension Homemakers’ annual Holiday Bazaar on Saturday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event will feature craft items, baked goods and the new cookbook, “Recipes and Recollections,” produced by the homemakers this year. Shoppers will be able to find Christmas gifts and decorations for the home. The bazaar will be at the Barren County Extension Office, 1463 West Main St.
