Black ice leads to crashes

Black ice is thought to be a contributing factor in two separate single-vehicle wrecks that occurred on Defeated Creek Road on Friday morning. Barren County Sheriff Chris Eaton, deputies Kevin Wilson and Steve Runyon and Constable Buddy Houchens, along with members of Austin-Tracy Volunteer Fire Department responded to the scene. A Barren County Road Department truck was being dispatched to salt the roadway following the wrecks. No other information was available at press time.
